I would look at the (non-)repeating mechanism in the keyboard. You
may find publication 573-116-100 (you can get it from Nick's excellent
navy-radio.com) helpful for locating and understanding it; It's on
pages 15 and 16 of the copy I have here. I'm not familiar with the
mechanism (someone else here almost certainly is!) as I've not had to
mess with mine. However, the first thing I would do is check that the
repeat key is not stuck, and that the repeat function lever and
non-repeat levers move freely (see Figure 17 on p. 15 of the above
document). It may be as easy as cleaning and lubricating those parts,
and checking to ensure that the springs are all mounted properly. If
you have the repeat-on-space kit installed, it kind of looks like the
repeat on space adjustment screw being cranked down too far would
cause it to repeat all the time.
