Seeing as off-topic stuff now seems to be allowed (cue those on autostart) 
we used to pull the same stunt as Computer Science students; in that case 
it was chad from the 029 card punches.  As you say, you can shampoo and 
comb as much as you like, but...

Chad from the computer tape punch was really nasty too, as it's much 
smaller; guess who had access to that particular device?

Took ages to get the stuff out of your woolly clothing too.
