Kevin,
Even if your machine is set up with 66 WPM (TELEX) gears, you should
still be able to copy 60 WPM ITTY with it (though the RANGE adjustment
will not be centered).
So you may have some other problem. Have you given it a good
lubrication? how long have you run it? Sometimes an old machine needs
to run a while to get everything loosened up again.
The keyboard connections are separate from the selector magnet (RX), you
need them to both be in series with a good 100V, 60ma current loop.
There also may be a switch on the front that disables (shorts out) the
keyboard, so check that out.
To check the ITTY/Europe channel, you need a FSK converter like a
Dovetron that will tune to the European tones.
