Hi Kevin,
I can't help you with the gear chart but if ITTY comes out gibberish, you could try to copy the Europe channel (66 wpm).
If that copy is okay, you are a step closer to success. If still no good copy, try to copy both channels again and play a little bit with the adjustment screw above the selector magnets - should be only a tiny adjustment !!!!!
Some other members here on the list may have better and more sophisticated solutions.
After the RO part is working alright, you have to figure out how to connect the keyboard into your loop in order to hook up the i-Telex system. It can be a little bit difficult to trace all the wires - much easier if you could find the right diagram.
All i-Telex question you may have could be answered by Henning (df3oe.henning at googlemail.com). He is super helpful and speaks very well English.
Good luck with the project,
Nick - N0NCQ

Subject: [GreenKeys] Model 19 gears
I have a Western Union Model 19 set that has been sitting around for 3-4
years and I finally had some time to tinker with it. The table is a
model 7904-A. It looks similar to this item on eBay except it has no
reperforator or call unit and is in *much* better condition:
https://tinyurl.com/y82xlg9r (Item No. 323223096071).
My main question right now is does someone have a list of the various
gears available? The parts manual I have that is supposed to have a
gear chart is missing that one page (naturally).
The pinion gear on the motor appears to be #74919LS. I can't see the
numbers on the gear on the main shaft. I've tried copying ITTY with it
but it just types gibberish mostly so I'm guessing this was either a
Telex machine (like the one on eBay) or it was set up for some other
speed than 60wpm. It also seems to have been set for receive only
because I can't get keyboard functions to work.
If this machine was used in Telex operation, then I guess the next
question would be if it could be used with i-Telex like it is?
Thanks,
Kevin
