[GreenKeys] Oxalic acid for rust removal...

Hi!

A little off topic, but was wondering what you
seasoned radio repair guys use to remove surface
and "Scaly" type rust from radio chassis?

I have several radio chassis (Steel, steel alloy),
the radios are functional, but look like crap...

Was reluctant to use abrasive measures
to prevent scratching of the surface,
a little staining or dis-coloration wud be ok...

Any run of the mill type cleaners just won't
work, have tried a lot...

Have thot abt "Naval gel", but after reading
the warnings and cautions, I was afraid to use
it...

Some of the warnings sounded pretty
ominous about this product...

Any thoughts/recommendations for a chassis
rust remedy much appreciated...
