"Standard COM port." There-in lies the rub. What exactly do you mean by
standard? Are you referring to the old style DB9 (which are really DE9)
found on old style PCs? If so then settings in software for the COM port
can take care of things for you. If you are referring to USB to Serial
adapters that are used in today's PCs, then you need an additional device as
USB does not support 45 baud.
