[GreenKeys] Model 28. When a key is pressed, it prints multiple times

Hi Tom -
If that keyboard clutch goes around more than once, the problem is in your
keyboard section, not the printer. It really sounds like the keyboard isn't
resetting properly at the end of a cycle. Check out those documents I
pointed you at. RTFM.
Other useful "how it works" manuals are at
http://www.navy-radio.com/manuals/tty/jh/ttyman3/TeletypeManuals/model28/Instructional/28_Keyboard.pdf
http://www.navy-radio.com/manuals/tty/28_pagetyper_USAF.pdf

If the keyboard reset isn't happening properly you may end up with
semi-random characters. Figs is MMMMM so all 5 of the the code bars are
engaged and then you may be more likely to not get reset happening with
FIGS hanging around for the improper multiple characters. Check out those
documents I pointed you at. RTFM.

You might be able to see the problem happening in slow-motion as you turn
the motor by hand.

When rotating by hand, after the end of a cycle you will have to disengage
the keyboard clutch manually because normal operation depends on the
momentum of the rapidly rotating clutch to disengage it. Press the clutch
shoe lever and clutch stop lug together to disengage the clutch - it'll
click into place and then you won't feel the clutch dragging.

Have patience, RTFM, and once you figure out how it is all supposed to
work, you will stand in awe at the genius of those Teletype engineers.

Good luck,
Nick
