One advantage of the Model 15 for public shows is that it is pretty
easy to explain how it works, to those who care to know.  You explain
the 5-bit binary code and how you give up two of the combinations for
LTRS and FIGS to get enough for all the letters and digits and punctuation
marks.  Then it's easy to show how the keyboard generates the serial 
signal.  And turning the motor by hand you can show how the pulses are 
sensed and stored one by one, transferred to the vanes, then to the code
bars, and how they select one type bar to print.
