Hi John,

First, I think all is working with no known problems. 

Your scheme is pretty much how ITTY works as well.  I think the fourth line is a typo:

> figure      LTRS        LTRS        LTRS

Should be 
figure      LTRS        FIGS        FIGS

The only problem is extra LTRS codes vs hardware unshift on space, making tapes longer.
