Eugene,

It is not a MITE/Teleprinter Corp. product, but a AN/UGC/136 made by
E-Systems.

Teleprinter Corp. of New Jersey first came up with the concept of
"Miniaturized Integrated Teletypewriter Equipment ("MITE") in the late
1950s. They may have gotten some seed money from Western Union who was
looking for a cheaper replacement for the M28. Apparently it was too
expensive for WU, so it was sold to the military as a tactical machine
in a weatherproof case - the AN/TGC-14
(http://rtty.com/development/teletype/mite/index.html)

Later they changed their name to the "Mite Corp."

Other military models were the Navy AN/UGC-38, -40, -41 and stand-alone
units TT-264, -298, - 299, -395, etc. There was even an ASR model AN/TGC-29.

The company by  late 1967.

Have fun,

Duncan
