Greetings all,

Thanks to help from Tony, Bill and Tom, I have been able to identify the problem and fix it.  This problem was not unique to the Arvada system - it would have also been there on the Sequim system. Regardless, it is now fixed.

The problem was this: The ITTY system ignores characters that are not directly translatable from ASCII to BAUDOT. There was a situation where the system got confused whether it was in shifted or unshifted mode after ignoring the invalid character, and was not correctly changing modes.  

I have deployed the fix to ITTY, but not yet to AUTOSTART or to EUROPE channels. I will do so shortly.
