[GreenKeys] Avarda ITTY Feed / StayShift-On-Space

If the TTY is set up with unshift-on-space (UOS), you wouldn't
have that problem.

UOS was common in the "real RTTY" days. The only time UOS was not

used was when we copied the old weather broadcasts that sent
groups of

5 numbers. Of course, most of the time we had no idea what it
meant,

but it sure looked cool on the TTY. UOS can be selected on MMTTY.

UOS on a Model 15 is done with a small lever that can be pushed
out

of the way to disable it. On a Model 28 it's a little more
complicated,

using several stuntbox parts. Sometimes the parts are there and
they

are blocked, disabling the feature. Other times, the parts aren't

event here.

I did notice a few other typo's on Nick's copy.

I will check my ITTY copy.I have had better Arvada ITTY copy since
moving to

our new home. But, I do still get occasional hits. And, I often
have to

disconnect/connect several times to get usable copy. Admittedly,
George's

ITTY was always "solid copy".

Paul, attached is a pic of a print and I underlined the hiccups in
red Probably much better than providing you with confusing
explanations.

Wondering if the hiccups are a result of one or more of the
followings:

1. Milliseconds of Internet flaws

2. Milliseconds of WiFi flaws

3. Slightly incorrect setting of the needed 60mA

4. Possibly vintage heavy metal mechanical glitches

5. AC or DC fluctuations

Don't create too much headache to yourself over this :)

OK, let's see if we can figure out some kind of pattern. Could any
of you tell me the name of an article or two where this happens,
and the offending line of text? If it is truly random it could be
hard to find but I want to try!

Bill, I experience the same phenomenon - but it happens only once
in a while. If the situation is not getting worse, I think I can
live with that I know, I know, what about perfection, right ?

A big THANK YOU to all of you guys to make ITTY happen - to put so
much time, love, knowledge and enthusiasm into this cool hobby.

Paul, Tony,

I've done some testing and found that sometimes, after a comma
followed by a space, LETTERS is not received. All the following
charcters will be FIGURES until the next LETTERS is received,
usually at the start of the next line or after a period at the
start of the next sentence. I've done testing with both MMTTY and
my homebrew RTTY demodulator - same results.

I've also seen instances of skipped apostrophes. With some debug
software I notice that when an apostrophe is supposed to be
printed, I see only a LETTERS being received. It looks like the
FIGURES and the apostrophe are just dropped somewhere along the
way.
