For an assortment I would say look on ebay. They have lots depending on
what material you want them made out of.

Example:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/278-Pcs-30-Values-470pf-470nf-Polyester-Film-Capacit
or-Assorted-Assortment-Kit-/301737684407?hash=item4640f7adb7:g:D-UAAOSwax5Yx
ved

For about $ 8 shipped from the US.

China has lots if you don't mind waiting about 3 weeks. I don't have any
source to recommend, but I have ordered lots of inexpensive things from
China and the US from ebay.

You do have to be wary of any of the solid state devices from China. I
have not ordered any transistors from China, but have heard that sometimes
they do not measure up.
