I was attempting to clean up a sticky relay armature on a translator coil of my Friden SPD-V Flexowriter. While doing this either I pulled a coil lead out of a coil or it was ready to come out on it's own. Anyway this coil is now open and the translator doesn't work correctly with out it.
First I carefully removed the coil and then removed the outer covering of the coil. I found the broken end of the coil. Problem is it is very fine wire. What I need to so is clean the enamel off the wire to solder a lead back on. How should I do this without damaging the wire.
Second if this can not (or I can not) be done, the part number on the coil is F1055816R. Does anyone have a coil like this?
Here is a picture of what I have to work with. The broken end is sticking out of approx the middle of the coil. Any suggestions? Thanks
