Greetings.
I had the wonderful pleasure to visit Henning a couple of weeks ago. What a wonderful host. He and his family welcomed me completely and I am most grateful for that, and for his assistance in getting me started with i-telex. Hopefully once I am up and running I will be able to pass help along to others.
While I was there I picked up the necessary i-telex gear and saw the manufacturing facility (Henning's workshop).
And, as a bonus, I met several nice people. Andreas, who is a true master at restoration; I was very impressed by his work and skills; Tom (DL8AAE), a fellow ham and telex enthusiast who was most warm and friendly and who I now call "friend"; Henning, the heart behind i-telex, who we all know and respect, brings tremendous enthusiasm to our hobby; Fred, the brains behind i-telex; his name is on the PCBs and in the manuals, his hand is in the software. The fact that all these people actually live near each other is absolutely amazing.
I have a photo of these four, but do not want to send it out without their permission. Attached, however, is a photo of my i-telex cabinet (work still in process on it).
Henning also showed me his very impressive collection of telex equipment. I was impressed with the quality of the Siemens line. I hope to some day find a T68D - what a machine! Impressive engineering.
Paul
