[GreenKeys] OT Broadcast station diplexing

     I went by KABC AM, the ABC affiliate here a couple of days ago. The 
familiar tall and short tower are gone. Turns out they are triplexed on 
another site (KWKW and KFOX). More and more of this happening as 
engineers learn how to violate the laws of physics. The reason is 
simple, the land the towers are on is often worth more than the whole 
station. This site is not near here but another is, that one has a 50KW, 
5KW and 1KW on it and is only about a mile or so away. Talk about 
blanketing.
    I think there a few other old time broadcasters here who will 
understand why this appalls me. I think AM will soon be gone altogether.
