[GreenKeys] USB to RS-232

I have used the best buy ones with success, they have a prolific 2303 chip that is well supported. In my experience though the issue is more of software compatibility with the underlying OS when moving RS-232 --> USB. Either the OS flat won’t allow access to the ports, or doesn’t allow COM ports beyond COM 1,2,3.

Good luck..

Chris

The radios are current equipment so not old. Has anyone has success with the USB to RS-232 adaptors/modules/software that are available? All the new laptops do not have a RS-232 port and I soon need a new one. I have heard that most of these adaptors do not work as some of the protocols required are not supported.
