[GreenKeys] CRLF or not CRLF?

Let's keep our Jeffs straight shall we? :) :)

Let's put one thing to rest: ASCII et al does not happen in the RTTY
Roundup, or if it does, it's because some sub group decides to show up
there. But I've never seen it. So to say you can do ASCII with your ASCII
machine and have fun is a red herring. (Those other modes were listed at
the origin of the contest pre-ARRL and no one has bothered to remove them.)

We could also go down a rat hole on input devices. I really don't know how
you would differentiate the laptop keyboard I am typing on now from a
mechanical TTY: both take the motion of my typing and translate it to
electrical impulses. But we all know it when we see it.

I'm going to let everyone weigh in for a while and then try to craft a
single paragraph that includes as many machines as possible, and makes it
clear that using an electronic display etc. is not in the spirit.

The goals are to keep it in the spirit, and to maximize the number who can
participate, because more participation is more fun, and make for more fun
stories Monday morning on how you got it all working. ;)

Carry on! 73 jeff wk6i
