[GreenKeys] Model 19 progress and a few questions...

Hi all!

For the past week, I’ve been working diligently at scoping out my Model 19 (into the late night ;o ~) - trying to get it up and running. I have 75% of the wiring checked out. I know there’s a short in the perforator section that I’m going to find here soon (hopefully)… keeps on blowing the 62ma fuse that I have whenever I switch over to it. Starting to look at the mechanical side of it, too… but first a few of questions as I go along:…

(circled in attached image)

1: What is the line jack and what does it do? I think I’ve figured out where it is, but no clue what its purpose is.

2: Where are contacts 9 through 12? Looked and looked - no see ;p .

3: The selector magnets have six wires coming off of their terminals. Two wires, I believe, go up to a resistor, mounted above the magnets (with three wires to/from the resistor) and then eventually lead to a switch next to it, which has six wires coming to/from it (top-left side of the main unit). Can’t find this on any wiring diagrams that I’ve seen. The switch is in the up position and I think it reads “S” (going off of memory - the teletype is in the basement right now). I think I know what the switch is, but don’t know where to trace the wiring to with the ohm meter since it’s not on any diagrams ;o . I guess my question is, help on locating, please :) ?

4: Where are the motor control contacts?

Right now as I type on the keyboard - with the keyboard switch in the upwards position, I get nothing on the typing unit… assume that it will work itself out when I get the perforator figured out (hopefully). Also, the bar next to the the selector magnets are constantly moving when I have the unit on - not sure this is normal or not but the magnets check out fine with a 9 volt battery on multiple contacts.

More questions later down the road, maybe... but once I get some of these figured out, then maybe things will work themselves out by then :) . Thank you much in advance to anyone, willing to help ^^ !!!

Sincerely,
Eric :)

Progress so far:
*Rewired one wire going from the perforator control contacts to a filter -> cam pulsing contacts because it was bad.
*Unfroze the cam switches next to the trans contacts.
*Properly looped the wires at the control relay.
*Reattached a capacitor to a couple of resistors along the motor line.
*Fixed the break contacts - one was bent.
*Removed modified wiring.
*Checked most, if not all resistors, a few capacitors, one coil and resistance on the majority of lines (looking for shorts and modifications).
*Oiled and cleaned a bit.
