Hi all!

Just noticed Jack's comments on the Teletype M38ASR...

I didn't. have much exposure to these macines, I did see
one in the Toronto, Ont. branch of Teletype Corp'n.,
and sort of studied it a little, between classes on the M40
product line...

I found it kind of interesting, basically an "Upscaled" M33,
upper/lower case, with a 6 row (Vertical) typewheel,
two colour printing, and extra computer related functions...

I haven't seen one since, I think they were probably low
production...

Possibly some of the GK members have one, and wud like
to share their experiences with the group...

The Model 38 is rarely discussed/mentioned, so it wud
be nice to hear some comments from the owners...

Apparently one of the common operational drawbacks
was the long, (Relatively) speaking, CR time...

I am assuming there wud probably have to be a couple of
rubout characters after the CR/LF function to properly allow
carriage return travel time and dashpot settling...

What say you all?

TKS & Cheers!

Ken
