Then it would be 60 WPM for the deaf. Vermont had about 8 around the state. They had my name and number, but only did about 2 or 3 jobs as a 32 running at 60 WPM and used infrequently would not require much service. Austine School for the Deaf had one as well. They are closed now.
An interesting personal note. When we first moved back to VT we lived in Rutland and directly across the street and upstairs a deaf lady had a model 15 KSR with phone acoustic coupler and a large red light on the wall. Never worked on that one either.
Never found these machines either and again I looked in about 1999 or so.
