[GreenKeys] Red paint on Teletypes...

Hi all!
On the Model 32/33 product line, red paint sealed screw
adjustments were encountered on many units, especially
the M32's...
I have never seen any comments in the TTY bulletins regarding
this practice, nor any acknowledgement from Teletype Corp'n.
The most common area where the red paint sealing can
be found is on the selector magnet armature mounting
screws...
In each and every case of paint sealing in this area,
the armature is not against its' "Down and rear positioning
surface", but is actually somewhat angled in its' slot...
This tells me the paint sealed screws are not to be disturbed,
unless the armature has to be replaced...
I suspect on the assembly line, there may have been some
receiving margin problems, and the adjustment compromised
to make it work!
Never confirmed, just my speculation...Sometimes the paint
can be found in the punch area!
I have never seen paint sealed adjustments on any of the
Model 28 or 35 line products...
What say you?
Cheers!
Ken
