[GreenKeys] What's this Western Union keyboard device?

     FWIW, the typewriter next to it is a Remington Standard No.10

     I thought perhaps the mystery machine was connected to the 
typewriter in some way but don't see signs of it.  I downloaded the 
image and look at it using Photoshop but can't make anything out of the 
writing (if that's what it is) on the machine.
