Richard, this is great to know... I have not lost one of these straps but
always figured it would be something to eventually fail... I will fear
the eventual failure easier knowing there is a fix!

return straps. You can find woven flat ones that don't stretch. The
original probably has hooks of some sort on it which can be attached to
the new one.
