[GreenKeys] ASR 33 motor buzzing

Brad,
Do you own a variac (variable AC transformer)? If not, can you quickly
wire-up a "dim bulb" tester? Do you have any way to monitor the current
into the unit - just a basic VOM / DVM with an AC 10A range?
You really do need to begin quantifying this current issue, or you're going
to keep searching for your own arse in the dark.. ;-)
Also, there is no reason to wait for the correct glass fuse. Connect the
fuse holder clips to a set of test leads, and then attach +any+ 3-6A 250V
slow fuse to the leads. Then start applying power as you watch current on
your meter. What does it do? When does the motor turn?
I simply cannot stress enough that you need to get a handle on the facts &
figures, here.
