Probably the reason for that is that they were mainly used by W.U. for
telegrams. W.U. gave a lot of machines away to hams and the deaf, but
hams and the deaf would have preferred page printers like the 15 and 26
and W.U. 100-series machines. So the 2Bs were probably dumped, just like
the Model 12s. Reperfs on the other hand were useful to hams and would
have been kept. The main other uses for 14 printers were on TWX
switchboards and in telco test centers, and there were not all that many
of those. I did at one time have a couple of 14s from that source that
I passed along to deaf people.
