[GreenKeys] Veterans day is Friday

OK  family military  for me  were..

My  father was radar officer in ww2   also  served  with the corps on 
engineers on a tem doing pontoon  bridges design for invasion forces,  
 
After WW 2   My Father Went to   work  For Huges Aircraft Co.   ( something 
to  do with  Polaris stuff, Surveyor  Lander,  Syncom and Early Bird,  
COMSAT  etc..  and then the spooky ones  he  would  never tell me about no 
matter how much I pestered him! 

He commanded the  Reserve AFTRS unit in Van  Nyes  Calif.  in the 50s/60s 
Leonard Nimoy was in his  unit! My Dad   retired out of reserves at  Lt. Col

 My uncle   served in WW2  also  and  was  Signal Corps   He retired out  
of   Active Duty as a Major 
 
Unfortunately,  both are deceased Both  great   relatives, friends and 
mentors .

Then I need to add a  group of Nike Radar  site personal that were all my 
adopted  older brothers. Fantastic friends,  mentors and at times 
co-conspirators! Blessed be  the LA 55 Pt.  Vincente  Nike Radar  site  LA-55 in Palos 
Verdes  California..
 
The  site is not longer there, and many of my  old  friends are passed on.

Agreed; although I never had the  chance to serve myself, I do come from
a military family (RAF/WAAF/RAAF/CMF  etc).

You have my genuine sorrows...  A lot of  soldiers' remains will never be 
found, which is why we honour them; they  will remain buried forever in 
Flanders Fields and elsewhere.   Australia's other sacred day is Anzac Day, 
wherein we were ordered to take  part in an utterly pointless action.
