Wanted to put it out there, the also thank all those who have served :) .  My dad was in Vietnam for two years in the U.S. Army (during the big push south by the North… thereafter, back stateside, he joined the Army National Guard for some extra money (they needed it at the time ;o ~)… finally retiring at the mandatory retirement age as a 1SG - a career of 39 years.  He only had a few weeks to go before he hit 40, but they wouldn’t let him ;o .  I could never go through war - it’d tear me apart too much >o< … but I really appreciate and admire those who are willing to serve :) .  Don’t know how they do it, either ;o .  Being a part of an military family, my hats off to them ^_^ ~

(my grandfather was in the Navy during WWII, my great-grandfather a Seabee in WW’s I & II… we can pretty much trace back all the ancestors on my dad’s side of the family - serving in the military - all the way back to the Revolutionary War ;o … I think my dad felt a little disappointed back in the early days that neither my brother or I had ever joined the service ;o … after all these years, never have been sure how to respond/react/feel about that ~o~; ~…..)
