[GreenKeys] Spacing problem on a model 15

Ah, I should have mentioned that the spacing issue on the left margin is
caused by a weak carriage return spring. We have deliberately loosened it
to encourage the rightward spacing to work better. If we tighten it up to
make carriage return work better, then the spacing in general works less
well.
The other two stripes, in the middle of the page and on the right margin
(because the drag is near the end of line) the carriage either moves very
slightly to the right or doesn't move at all. There doesn't seem to be any
backwards movement. (Also, it is not a case of striking during the
carriage return stroke.) The carriage seems to drag during those two
portions of the page, though there is no actual drag in the carriage as far
as we can determine.
Is it possible the felt clutch has deteriorated? Or the spring has
compressed over the years?
