My board came and it's really cool. Now my challenge is to dig out my loop supply that I built around 1978. I saw it a couple of months ago in the attic, just can't remember where.

For my loop supply I took a 19" panel (5" tall) and sawed a rectangular hole on one side of it (lots of filing to make it look nice) and bolted a plexiglas panel in for the isolation needed for the 6 phone jacks (5 shorting, one open). Then I built a power supply that puts out about 150 VDC, mounted a 2500 ohm 25w rheostat (from the junk box) on the front panel in series with the power supply. I never did mount a meter on it because with the sawed out area didn't leave enough room. But I did put 2 female pin jacks with a jumper on the front panel to plug in my VOM when I wanted to reset the current with the pot. All this was done in a 6' rack cabinet because I had the FRR-59A (huge) and R-390A receivers mounted in it along with a CV-89A and ST-6, which all hooked up to the 28 ASR for Navy MARS operation. Somewhere I have a pix of it all. I still have all of it but the FRR-59A and the 28ASR. I'm now paired down to a 28 Compact, 28LPR, and LXD, ..........quite a size change. .....................
