The "cheap & easy" way to send the CW ID was to use the BLANK
key as a DASH, and the LTRS key as a DIT.
Yes, if you were running pictures it would embed those characters
into the picture but since they were non-printing it wasn't a big deal.
If you want to hear how it sounds, listen to your outgoing signal
and then hit the LTRS key a few times and then the BLANK key. When
you get the feel, try sending your callsign. :-)
Oh - and if you were a 2-lander, you got a bonus because if you
used the LINE FEED key it would give you TWO DITS (of course, you
couldn't do that during a picture).
