yes, I have a    set of photos of these desks  from a  certain era they had 
meters and all  kinds of  goodies on some of  them
 
 
ok the  reason I thought  my tty was a  3a  is that it  had a 3a  gumming 
station on it over the traditional copy holder...  I  suspect you have the 
same as we have here and it has a brass ( painted over by  lackadaisical 
refurbishers at  WU)   with green as the  rest  of the  apparatus.
 
are  you going to use yours? is it in nice  shape?  if   better than ours 
we might be interested.

I have a fold-down combination  gumming work surface/copyholder
on a Model 14.   I suspect this  was an accessory for a small
office, where the same machine was used for  both transmit
and receive.  In a bigger WU office, you'd have a full  gumming
desk as a receive station.  WU built various pre-wired  desks
for Teletype machines, power supplies, and and paper  handling.
