After getting my keyboard in shape, I found the H or X bar that connects the keyboard to the printing unit. Got is all cleaned up and connected the two units. First thing I noticed is that I routed the terminal bar wires in the way of the X bar and HERE IS, functions. So after moving the wires for better clearance, the two units were connected. I then rotated the fan on the motor and watched as the printing unit reset the key board and it work fine. Next I pressed a key and watched the distributor turn and eventually reset the keyboard again.
One problem. The distributor does not stop after the one turn. Watching closely, I can see that the trip lever on the clutch pulls away from clutch tab and allows the clutch to engaged, but as the clutch tab comes around again the trip lever is not sticking out far enough for the clutch tab to grab it. Instead the tab just slips off and the shaft continues to rotate. If I push on the trip lever a little so that it protrudes a little more then the clutch tab will grab and the distributor will stop.
So I think there must be an adjustment that needs to be made, but so far I can not find any information on it. I don't want to just try some thing and get the rest of it balled up. Any suggestions? Thanks
