The attached photo shows the wire room of the telegraph office in The Hague,
Netherlands, around 1969.
In the frontrow, we had about 8 teleprinters for receiving telegrams from
companies (only 1 partly visible).
The next full row shows 9 teleprinters used for Gentex traffic, i.e. sending
telegrams to other telegraph offices around Europe.
The next row shows a combination of tele(page)printers (Siemens T100) and
(strip)printers (Siemens T68) for receiving telegrams from other offrices.
We needed both types, as some offices at that time used page printers only,
and others used T68s or compatible printers.
On the next row again, hardly visible, we had 2 static lines to Amsterdam
and 1 to Rotterdam.
It seems that some of the T68's have just been removed, as we can see them
on a table in the upper left corner.
Beside this wire room, we had a spare wire room. This was not to be used for
Gentex; it had static lines to all other telegraph offices in the
Netherlands. This wire room was equipped with Model 14's if I recall
correctly.
