It looks like a cable rack with cable coming down on both sides of the
center of the rack from the ceiling trough.

A friend sent me the attached photo which is stated as being of the Wire 
Room in the Bradford (UK) offices of the Telegraph and Argus local 
newspaper. Taken about 1968.

Note the bank of receive only machines on the right and what looks like 
a wire-photo machine being loaded in the distance.

Anybody know what the curious ladder-like device is in the centre? Is it 
some sort of document carrier conveyor?
