Wow, thanks to you i have the first machine up and running already :D

It’s amazing how hard it is to put back together - it’s not obvious what parts go in first - i had to redo it a couple of times because i blocked access to screws by other parts.

I did have some problems with adjustments here and there, but nothing i couldn’t figure out, apart from one thing i cannot figure out:
When printing symbols, the platen drops down, but not nearly enough - it’s not heavy enough on it’s own to go to the bottom position. On the center (back) of the machine i see a spring that keeps the mechanism in balance. I cannot see any adjustments possible here to allow the unit to level correctly - have i overlooked anything?

Apparently, my machine does not have the memory transmitter fitted - the machine on your picture looks a lot different with all that extra mechanics on top.

I will make some video and take some pictures of the cleaned machine when i get some more time.

Regarding the motor, it’s not a synchronous like i first thought - it’s a 4000 RPM Siemens Schukert motor with governor fitted to keep it at 1500 RPM(?) - Is this available as a spare for the other machine, and how costly are they?

Thanks!

// Per.

The big question is - is there any part of the machine that will be hurt by a soaking into turpentine/oil-mixture? I am thinking of the felt-washers in the clutches. Of course, i won’t submerge electronics, motor, keys etc. into it, but all the mechanics has this brown dried-on crud that i want to remove by soaking it.

To press the Danish special characters (Æ, Ø, Å) i have to press the “figures” keys to unlock them - does this mean that the machine does not have this special mechanism?

I looked over the electronics for dying electrolytics and selenium rectifiers, but found none, so i’ve had it powered on, and the electronics work, but the mechanics have issues. It’s a 1500 RPM syncronous motor on this model. I will have to see if i can fabricobble something together with another motor and then maybe 3D-print some crown-gears, as making a new worm-gear is out of my reach.
