Back around 1974 or so, my buddy Dave and I wandered down to J. J.
Glass in downtown LA and bought a dozen of them.
We set them up on 2 meter AM and sent Don Martin cartoons back
and forth.
Great fun.
We also picked up a pair of cameras. Tube type with vidicons, and got
them working on 70 cm. About the size of a toaster with a 4-lens
turret.
Also a lot of laughs.
