It was a common  typewriter ribbon.

You can get them at Staples still.

Since  nobody at my local staples could tell me for certain that the "One 
In Stock"  actually was in stock, I just ordered one off eBay for  $5.95
shipped.

For paper, the rolls are still made, but only in  white that I have found.  
7.5" wide roll with the right size center hole  diameter.

Searching "Teletype Paper" ought to turn it up - just be sure  you check 
the dims, there's some goober on ebay selling "Teletype Rolls" of 4"  width,
those are cash register rolls for dot matrix  registers.
