One Adlake product that was used a lot in the telephone industry was a
time-delay relay using mercury instead of air or oil forced through an
orifice as the timing element.

It seems they are now a custom manufacturer. I realized earlier this
year that there has been a change in the way things are made. In they
heyday of manufacturers like Teletype everything was made in-house,
even the screws and washers. Now it seems that a manufacturer farms
out all kinds of parts making to companies that specialize in that kind
of work, and then does only the assembly in-house.
