GM OMs;
I don't know what the REAL name of it is - but I
call it "Spring Steel" (which is not to be confused
with "Springsteen", that was Born In The USA).
It's a long flat piece of steel that is flexible.
The model 28s use it to pull the carriage back to
the left side of the machine.
I'm sure someone on here has one in an old clunker.
I don't know if the 28 spring is the same size as a
model 15, and I don't recall how the 15 gets the
carriage back to the left side of the machine.
