Holy crap!
I had the same experience when trying to mix-up a batch of the 'homebrew'
penetrant. We mixed equal parts of Power Steering Fluid and Acetone - and
i'll be damned, but they wouldn't go into solution. The two liquids at
there, like oil & water.
Have never been so surprised in my life.. since when doesn't acetone (a
nearly universal organic solvent) mix with what amounts to a 20W petroleum
oil? I didn't want to mention this, as I simply didn't know what to make of
it - I figured I must have grabbed the wrong bottle of something - so I
kept it to myself, lol.
But apparently I'm not the only one!
