Hi Guys,
I've got a typing/reperf I'm trying to connect in a loop with a model 15
and could use some help. Not real familar with Klein equipment.
No luck finding a manual for it either (TT-107B/FG).
There are two switches that allow you to select 60mA, 20 mA
loop current or polar. All seems normal in the 60mA position
(resistance is similar to the selector magnets in my m15) but
the selector magnet (SM) armature in the TT-107 never pulls in.
There is a 'bias' pot associated with the SM, and looking in
my TT-4 (Klein page printer) manual I see that these machines
require a bias current for their SM's. And in fact there are 4 coils
used.
Looking under the chassis there is indeed a selenium brigde
and filter caps that are connected to these bias coils. Everything
appears to work but the SM armature still never pulls in. And yes,
I am getting 60mA loop current through the main coils.
I'm stuck. Any ideas? Also discovered the paper tape is considerably
wider than the m14/TD uses. What model Klein TD should I be looking for?
TIA
