All that added goodie does is provide a better defined edge to tear the
paper with.
The paper path is the same, it sits between the metal lid in the back 
and the
glass cover in the front. No special path.
All that paper cutter option does is act like the strip on a box of tin 
foil. It
gives you a better defined edge to pull against, than the edge of the glass.
