Yes, I know about that, but because my Model 33 is some distance from the PC running SIMH, I actually connect the Model 33 to a DECserver 90M and use reverse telnet from SIMH. I have a nice Westermo converter for the job. In fact I bought a spare one when it came up on eBay recently.

I have never played around with reader control, I suppose I should test it to see if it even works on my Model 33. I don't do a lot with paper tape as I have found Model 33s to be a little unreliable when it comes to reading them.
