This one is missing the ink reservoir box that sits over the typewheel.
I was able to get one of these working for Eugene using a homebrew
polar power supply and my WECO test set (I think it runs at 56 baud...).
I don't think it's ugly, but it sure is heavy!

Subject: [GreenKeys] 5A Stock Ticker on eBay
There's a Teletype 5A Stock Ticker on eBay. $100, plus shipping.
This is the "high speed ticker" introduced in 1930. It's a 6-bit start-stop
device. No shifts.
Nobody seems to like 5A machines much. They have their very own code
(see "http://www.prc68.com/I/WU5A.shtml"), they need a polar input with
unusual timing, they have a 1/8 HP motor that runs hot, and they're rather
ugly. While a classic Edison ticker sells for
$10,000 to $20,000, this model sells for maybe $100.
But if you want one...
