[GreenKeys] TR PS work info for Doug and Greenkeyers

Doug,

Well I finally opened the manual and read the info on the TR PS and how it works.  It seems that the output voltage of the PS is 150 volts DC to energize the coil in the tape reader.  That output is switched on and off by the contacts under the plastic insulator in the distributor area of the printer.  The TR control circuit energizes the solenoid just behind these contacts to pull down the armature to allow the contacts to close and open as the lever with the white plastic insulator pulses them.  

Armed with this knowledge, finally, I repaired all 3 of my broken TR power supplies.  See pic.  I would like to obtain the electrolytic cap on the PS board and I will see what I can do to find it.  

I still only have 3 frames on hand to hold the circuit card and large resistor.  The resistor is 40 watts by the way.
