Fair enough, as long as sellers say so up front.

There was one bloke who was selling buck-boost converters for rigs like 
the Yaesu FT-100[D] (it's *very* fussy about seeing 13.8V) and after 
tracking down his email address he revealed that he refused to ship 
overseas; I was prepared to pay whatever it took, but nope.

I've since found a number of places that offer a USA shipping address and 
will forward it on (for a fee, of course); dunno how reliable they are.

callsign?  Right...
