Anyone ever heard of a Collins 709D-1FSK keyer/exciter and /or have any
info on it? We just got one in at the AWA Museum. I looked on the
Internet and could not find any mention of it. (I did find mention of a
Collins 709B-1, but it was about 10 times bigger and black wrinkle
painted, so apparently a much older version.)

Scratched into the crystal oven case was number in the 3200 range; so
apparently the unit directly FSKs the crystal and then the unit drives
the transmitter in place of a regular crystal or VFO.

Picture enclosed. Any comments on this unit would be appreciated.

Thanks & 73,
