[GreenKeys] Mite teleprinter VS Teletype TT-232?

Don House has or had a couple of the teletype 232s. 

 

They were a lightweight design, a sort of cross between a good teletype and
a model 32.

 

The Achilles Heel in the 232 was a totally inadequate design of the gearing
between the motor and the mainshaft. It was a pathetically small, wimpy
motor pinion driving a larger gear and teeth ground off about as soon as the
motor was up to speed. The load on the mainshaft was much larger than the
gearing could withstand.
