[GreenKeys] suggestion for ST6 Modification.

Taking a look at the schematic, it appears that the loop does not actually flow through the autostart relay. Instead, the autostart relay grounds the base of the loop keying transistor (maybe someone can confim/deny that I am reading this correctly).  So unless I make a change at that point, nothing else will hold the loop current. Perhaps, unless, as some have stated, a big cap after the keying transistor might hold it up for a bit. But I am thinking maybe some modification to the base grounding. Can anyone make a suggestion for that? I am attaching a small excerpt of the circuit I am referring to. Look for the little "hand" showing the transistor I am talking about. The motor control relay is KY1A (I believe).

Yes, 5 minutes would seem like forever if you stood there watching it idle, but in the overall scheme of things, 5 minutes is better than having it run all night long or having it yo-yo up and down between traffic.



What I think would be a very simple modification would be to look at the motor control relay. And use that to control a second time delay relay. Instant on when the motor turns on to bring up the loop.

And then a delay of 30 seconds or so to hold the loop up when the motor is turned off.
